Frequently asked questions
Sure. The Maxee gateway and sensor come with an API (Application Programming Interface) that enables you to download the data to your own visualization software.
Whenever your data is in transit between you and us, everything is encrypted. User passwords are stored encrypted. Maxee data is stored in a secured database hosted in a certified datacenter.
Each Maxee Sensor can connect 3 energy meters with pulse-output. The Maxee Sensor can also connect devices with a 0-10V/4-20mA output such as CO2-sensors. Each Maxee Sensor also has an onboard temperature and relative humidity sensor.
Note that the Maxee Gateway by itself is also a Maxee Sensor and hence can connect up to three energy meters directly.
The Maxee Gateway can connect up to 50 Maxee Sensors.
Yes, you can install multiple Maxee Gateways in one building.
The Maxee sensor is by default powered by two user replaceable 3,6 V AA batteries. Battery life depends on the send frequency, the amount of data transferred, temperature, environment, etc. In normal circumstances batteries last up to 7 years. The Maxee sensor can also be powered by an external power source (DC12 to 24 V).
You can find the Maxee configurator app in Google Play Store.

iPhone is currently not supported as Apple does not support NFC (Near Field Communication) for third party applications.
Yes, If the pulse output of your meter is already used by an other application, you can install a Maxee pulse splitter.
The Maxee pulse splitter can split active and passive pulses. Your existing application will continue working as before and the extra pulse can be used to connect to a Maxee sensor.
Industry 4.0 is the subset of the Fourth Industrial Revolution that concerns industry. The fourth industrial revolution encompasses areas which are not normally classified as industry, such as Smart Cities and Smart Meters like Maxee for instance.
Although the terms "industry 4.0" and "fourth industrial revolution" are often used interchangeably, "industry 4.0" refers to the concept of factories in which machines are augmented with wireless connectivity and sensors, connected to a system that can visualise the entire production process in terms of energy.
In essence, industry 4.0 describes the trend towards automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies and processes which include cyber-physical systems (CPS), the internet of things (IoT), industrial internet of things (IIOT), Cloud computing, Cognitive computing and Artificial intelligence.
Yes. The Maxee Room Analyser has a very accurate CO2-measurement on board. The technology we use ensures an accurate CO2-measurement for over 15years.
No. We have chosen for high class NDIR technology. Our sensor has a reference chamber which ensures long term accurate measurements (15years).
